NPD data shows that Power Rangers was the fourth bestselling brand in September, with sales up 91 per cent versus September 2015.
Power Rangers has also moved up to the number six spot in the action figure category, experiencing double-digit growth of 42 per cent.
Success for the brand is expected to continue thanks to the recent launch of the teaser trailer for next year's Power Rangers movie, which has already achieved over 50 million views in a week.
“Power Rangers continues to go from strength to strength in 2016 and is well on track to finish within the top five in the action figures category for the first time in eight years and with the movie releasing March 24th 2017, there’s a lot to be excited about in 2017,” said Tess Parsons-Broome, product manger at Bandai.
