On June 27, Baosteel Zhanjiang iron and steel 2250 Hot rolling main line equipment contract signing ceremony was held in Baoshan Hotel, which marks Baosteel Zhanjiang iron and steel project construction has stepped out an important pace.
Mr. Xu Le Jiang, Baosteel Group Chairman, Mr. Zhao Zhouli, deputy general manager of Baosteel Group, Zhanjiang Iron and Steel chairman, as well as general director of Zhanjiang project headquarter, Mr. Li Haiping, Deputy Director of Baosteel Planning Commission, Mr.Schoenbeck, Board spokesman of Germany SMS Group, Mr. Rosenthal, Board Director of SMS, as well as Baosteel and SMS relevant leaders attended the signing ceremony.
2250 Hot rolling mainline is one of the main projects of Baosteel Zhanjiang project, with designed annual capacity of 5.5 million tons. Production line takes "advanced, efficient, energy saving, environmental protection, sustainable development" as the target for first-class plant, taking a series of efficient and energy saving technical measures as well as for ensuring high strength, high-accuracy, high surface quality and low operational cost in the aspects of process equipment configuration, equipment selection, layout, etc.. After completion of the project, it will become a strong development potential for Baosteel hot rolling products.

He said that we should learn from past experience of cooperation to overcome various difficulties, making the best effort to complete contract execution, together with Baosteel to play its due role in building the first-class hot rolling production line.
Mr. Zhao Zhouli said in his speech, SMS has supplied Baosteel for hot and cold rolling production line integrated equipment and the whole process service. He hoped that Zhanjiang 2250 Hot rolling production line as the first Baosteel wide width hot rolling production line, not only reflect the contemporary hot rolling equipment and technology level, but also achieve the optimum operating efficiency. He believed that SMS can always supply first-class products and first-class service with well organization, strict management, high standards and strict requirements. Facing the future, Baosteel is willing to work with SMS in the principle of mutual understanding, mutual trust, mutual benefit and common development, to further enhance the competitiveness of each other, seeking for greater development.
